Lightning sparks brush fire in Seminole County

GENEVA, Fla. – A brush fire sparked by lightning threatened several homes in Geneva on Monday afternoon, according to the Florida Forestry Service.

The 5-acre fire burning near Bee Lane in Geneva was threatening five homes.

Officials said Monday just before 6 p.m. that the fire was 100 percent contained and that crews were mopping up hot spots.

No other details were immediately available.
