Seminole County commissioners enact new greyhound regulations

Regulations will apply to dogs at Sanford Orlando Kennel Club

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Commissioners in Seminole County have agreed to enact new regulations governing greyhound racing. 

According to the Orlando Sentinel, under the new rules, dogs racing at Sanford Orlando Kennel Club will have to be licensed by the county. 

The regulations also call for racing injuries to be documented and the reports made public. 

Owners will also be required to report what happens to the dogs after their racing careers are over.
