4 injured in Daytona Beach crash involving school bus, truck

Bus was transporting 40 Champion Elementary School


DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Two drivers and two students were hurt in a crash involving a Volusia County school bus on Monday afternoon, according to Daytona Beach police.

The crash was reported at Mason Avenue and Vine Street just before 2:30 p.m.

The school bus, which had 40 students from Champion Elementary on board, was driving eastbound on Mason Avenue when a pick-up truck driving westbound on Mason Avenue turned in front of the school bus.

Both the bus driver and the truck driver, along with two students were taken to Halifax Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No other details were immediately available.
