Safety 1st strollers recalled due to fall hazard

20K strollers sold at Babies R Us, Amazon

An important recall alert for parents: 20,000 strollers are being recalled because your child can fall out of them.

Dorel Juvenile, the manufacturer of the Safety First Step and Go Travel System, says the mechanism that holds an infant car seat in place on the stroller can come unattached, leading to the car seat to be able to fall off the stroller.

The company said it has received at least 30 reports of the mechanism detaching, but that no children have been hurt in any cases.

The strollers were sold at Babies R Us and other retailers nationwide, and online at Amazon.com, babiesrus.com and Walmart.com from May 2015 through June 2016. They were sold for between $250 and $300.
