LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A Lake County detention deputy was arrested on domestic battery charges on Thursday night in a fight that was sparked with his wife over separating.
According to the report, Deputy Randall Rentz and his wife were arguing about separating when the fight turned physical.
Deputies said Rentz pushed the victim with keys in his hand, cutting the victim and causing her to fall over a bench at the end of the bed.
Rentz was arrested and booked into Lake County Jail.
He was placed on administrative leave pending termination. Rentz has been employed with the agency for approximately one year.
