Masked gunman sought after robbing DeBary gas station

Man held clerk at gunpoint, deputies say


DeBARY, Fla. – Volusia County deputies are searching for a masked gunman who they say robbed a gas station Tuesday night in DeBary.

The robbery was reported just before 9:30 p.m. at the Kangaroo gas station on So Charles R. Beall Boulevard.

Deputies said the man went into the store, held the clerk at gunpoint  and demanded money from the cash register.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported, according to deputies.

Deputies described the man as 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 230 to 250 pounds, wearing a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black shoes with white soles, a white mask, white gloves and black sunglasses.
