More than 1,300 Duke Energy customers lose power

Restoration was slated for 9 p.m.


ORLANDO, Fla. – More than 1,300 Duke Energy customers lost power Thursday night, the company said.

Service was expected to be restored by 9 p.m., according to Duke.

The outage was first reported just after 7:15 p.m. It affected people on Flower Fields Lane, between Southmeadow Drive and Long Stem Court in Orlando.

Orange County Fire Rescue said the department received a phone call from someone who reported seeing a transformer arcing in the area north of Town Center Boulevard, along the railroad tracks. OCFR turned over the scene to Duke Energy.
