Water main break opens hole on Fairbanks Avenue

WINTER PARK, Fla. – Traffic is back to normal along Fairbanks Avenue in Winter Park after a water main break caused a large hole to open in the middle of the road.

News 6 checked early Monday morning and found the hole completely filled in and all traffic lanes open.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the hole was 10 feet by 30 feet wide and about 10 feet deep.

It was located between Clay Street and South Orlando Avenue.

Officials are still working to figure out what caused the water main to burst Sunday afternoon.
