Man wanted in Ormond Beach Walmart robbery, carjacking arrested

Nicholas Dinovo arrested in connection with crimes

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – Authorities arrested the man who police say robbed a Walmart and carjacked a teen in the parking lot of the Ormond Beach store.

Ormond Beach police said Nicholas Dinovo entered the store on Granda Boulevard, stole a BB gun or used a real firearm, then went to the customer service area. He demanded cash from workers before threatening the teen with the gun and stealing her gray 2013 Ford Focus.

The 35-year-old was booked into the Volusia County Jail on Saturday, but so far police haven't said what led to his arrest.

Dinovo faces several charges, including carjacking. His bond is set at more than $1 million.
