Man dies in fiery Brevard crash

Vehicle strikes two trees before bursting into flames

COCOA, Fla. – A man was killed early Friday morning after his vehicle veered off the road, hit two trees and burst into flames, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Joshua Edwards, 30, was driving a 2011 Nissan pickup truck on Indian River Drive in Cocoa around 2 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve and veered off onto the shoulder. 

The vehicle hit one tree on its left side, then continued off the road and hit another tree on its right side before becoming engulfed in flames.

The crash is under investigation.
