Ambulance driver, patient injured in Altamonte Springs crash, officials say

Ambulance driver, hospice patient hospitalized with minor injuries

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – An ambulance driver and a patient were injured Saturday when the emergency vehicle collided with another vehicle, the Seminole County Fire Department said.

The crash happened at the intersection of state roads 434 and 436 in Altamonte Springs.

Officials said the crash involved an American Ambulance company ambulance that was taking a patient to a hospice center.

The driver of the ambulance and the hospice patient were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, officials said.

The intersection was still closed Saturday night.

No other details were given.
