7-Eleven store in Cocoa robbed twice in four days

Cocoa police are searching for a masked man who they say may be responsible for robbing the same convenience store twice in four days, according to News 6 partner Florida Today.

The latest heist was reported about 4 a.m. Wednesday at the 7-Eleven store at 947 Dixon Blvd. after the robber – who police said was carrying an unidentified weapon - walked into the store and demanded cash from the clerk.

“We are looking into whether it was the same suspect who robbed the same store a few days ago,” said Yvonne Martinez, a spokeswoman for the Cocoa Police Department.

No one was injured in either robbery.

Martinez said the robber ran from the store after Wednesday's heist.

Cocoa police canvassed the surrounding area with police dogs. The robber was not found and no arrests were made. Detectives are reviewing the store’s surveillance video and are talking to potential witnesses.

The first robbery was reported about 3 a.m. Sunday at the same store. The robber in that case also had his face covered and demanded cash from the clerk.
