Brevard County man accused of shooting his brother now in custody, deputies say

CANAVERAL GROVES, Fla. – A Cocoa man accused of shooting his brother is now in custody, according to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.

Dana Hunter Calley, 47, shot his brother in the arm and chest, according to deputies.

The shooting took place in Canaveral Groves Friday morning, according to BCSO.

Calley was arrested in Rockledge Friday evening and is facing charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault, according to jail records.

He is being held at the Brevard County Jail Complex without bond.

Calley's brother was transported to a nearby hospital for his gunshot wounds, according to Brevard County deputies. He was released shortly after.
