Woman arrested after hitting deputy car, OPD says

Likely to appear in court for DUI Sunday, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police said they arrested a woman after she crashed into a deputy's vehicle with her car Saturday night.

The Orange County deputy was driving westbound on Raleigh Street  when the crash happened, according to the OPD. The woman was driving eastbound.

She then turned left onto Timberleaf Boulevard and drove directly into the driver's side tire of the deputy's car, OPD said.

Neither the deputy nor the woman had injuries, but Orlando police said the deputy was transported to the hospital as a precaution because of the airbag deployment.

Orlando police could not provide other information, but said the woman is likely to appear in court for the DUI and having the wrong vehicle registration Sunday morning.
