Man shot in stomach drives to Edgewood Police Department for help

Victim taken to hospital; Orange County deputies search for shooter

EDGEWOOD, Fla. – A man suffering a gunshot wound to his stomach drove himself to the Edgewood Police Department seeking help, officials said.

The man, only described as in his 20s, was shot early Tuesday near Orange Avenue and Oakridge Drive.

The man fled the shooter in an SUV and drove to the Police Department, about a half-mile away, authorities said.

The shooting victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition is not known.

Orange County sheriff's deputies said they only have a vague description of the shooter.

No other details have been released.
