Volusia deputies need help ID'ing man in car burglary video

Incident reported in DeBary on Nov. 23

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s identifying a car burglary suspect after a car was broken into and the victim’s credit card was used in DeBary.

Deputies said the burglary took place on Nov. 23 before 9 a.m.  at 156 Bradwick Circle in DeBary. A man told deputies that after he awakened, he found his and his wife’s car broken into and his wallet was missing.

Later that day, someone used the victim’s credit card at the Speedway gas station in Winter Springs. An investigation revealed that surveillance video from the store showed a man in Dodge Durango buying cigarettes at the counter and talking to customers at the gas pumps.

Deputies said the same man was seen near the Saxon Woods subdivision, near the location that the Nov. 23 incident took place.

The man is described as having dark hair with a dark complexion, about  5  feet 9 inches tall with a medium build and a mustache.

In the surveillance video, he was seen wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers cap.
