Christopher William Herr was arrested in the murder of Roland Lee Orrison Jr. Thursday after a joint investigation between the Brevard County Sheriff's Office and the St. Cloud Police Department took place, according to the police department.

Police said Orrison had been reported missing the day before his body was found around 10:30 a.m. in the "Thousand Islands" area in the Banana River near Ramp Road in Cocoa Beach.

Herr and the victim were believed to have been business partners who were involved in a financial dispute, according to police.

The investigation revealed that the pair had met at their business warehouse during the early hours of Dec. 5., at which time they believe Orrison was shot in the head by Herr.

Further investigation revealed that Herr later disposed of Orrison's body in the Banana River, according to the report.

This is still an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cpl. David Jacobs of the Brevard County Sheriff's Office at 321-747-9780.
