ORLANDO, Fla. – As New Year's Eve approaches, local law enforcement agencies are not waiting to crack down on drunken drivers.

Orange County deputies will team up with 14 other agencies to step up patrols beginning Friday at 9 p.m.  The countywide crackdown will last all night.

Deputies said the extra manpower on the streets has been a valuable tool in stopping drunken-driving crashes in previous years.
