Marion County felt a very cold morning with a freeze warning in place until 9 a.m.

Temperatures dipped as low as 28 degrees in Ocala.

Saturday's temperatures will quickly warm up to 64 degrees, and will reach a daytime high of 72.

"We will have little cloud cover throughout the day, and no chance of rain to ruin your New Years Eve plans," News 6 meteorologist Madeline Evans said.

Saturday night will reach a low of 57 with winds coming from the southeast at 5 mph.

"There will be some issues with late fog, so if you are out late please drive safely through this," Evans said.

The first day of 2017 will warm up even more. Sunday will reach a high of 82 under a mostly sunny sky.
