Troopers said a car was traveling east on Sand Land Road as the motorcyclist was headed west on the road.

The driver of the car attempted to make a left turn to travel north on Southland Boulevard and turned into the direct path of the motorcycle, troopers said. The front of the motorcycle struck the right side of the car.

Troopers said the motorcycle came to a rest under the car.

The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet at the time, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Troopers said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the car was not hurt in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation. Troopers said charges are pending.
