ORLANDO, Fla. – After a somewhat mild night to end the old year, central Florida is beginning 2017 with the chance of patchy morning fog.
Warm temperatures will dominate the first day of the new year. Expect many places to reach 80 degrees Sunday.
Humidity has started to return on a southeast wind.
"Overnight lows will be cool, but not uncomfortable, as temperatures drop into the 60s," News 6 meteorologist Danny Treanor said.
There could be some patchy morning fog again Monday.
Late Monday and into early Tuesday, a 40 percent chance of rain is in the forecast.
The remainder of the week will be sunny and mild with temperatures above normal.
