ORLANDO, Fla. – One person died after a car crashed into a tree early Sunday morning, the Orlando Police Department said.
Officers responded to the single-car crash on the northbound side of Hiawassee Road around 4:17 a.m.

Police said the male driver, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead by the Orlando Fire Department.

Northbound Hiawassee Road was closed at Raleigh Street. The Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash.
