Man, dog struck, killed on OBT

Victim identified as Tony Johnson, 50, of Orlando

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A man who was walking his dog on Orange Blossom Trail Sunday was struck by a vehicle and killed.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Tony Johnson, 50, was walking in the southbound lanes of OBT when Carlos Matos, 27, was unable to avoid him and the dog, and struck them both.

Johnson and his dog were fatally injured.

Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
