Boy found safe in Orlando after Amber Alert

Boy may have been taken during custody dispute, deputies say

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A Florida Amber Alert previously issued for a 2-year-old Port Richey boy has been canceled, officials with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday night.

Bane Wheeler and his father were found safe at a Family Dollar at 5997 Edgewater Drive in Orlando.

Earlier in the day, authorities issued the alert after the boy's father, Daniel Wheeler, 30, took Bane from a day care at 9446 U.S. 19. The boy was then last seen in Port Richey, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Deputies said the child may have been taken during a custody dispute, but they are investigating whether a crime was committed.

The alert was canceled just before 10:30 p.m.
