OVIEDO, Fla. – Body camera video showing in connection with a shooting involving an Oviedo police officer could soon be released.
According to attorneys, the video shows Matthew Danler firing six shots at Jason Scott while Scott was driving in September.
Danler initially told investigators that Scott revved his engine in an aggressive manner, which caused him to feel threatened.
But, according to the Orlando Sentinel, Scott's attorney said the video shows Scott on the opposite side of the street.
Scott was shot in the arm and stomach by Danler but survived.
Danler is now facing aggravated battery charges and is on leave from the Oviedo Police Department.
