ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Police Sgt. Kelly Lowe and his son Officer Kevin Lowe shared a special moment at Thursday night's Orlando police swearing-in ceremony.
Kevin Lowe, who was sworn in as an Orlando police officer Thursday after completing his time in the police academy, had the honor of having his badge pinned on his uniform by his father.

Kevin Lowe was one of five officers sworn in Thursday night as part of the Orlando police force. He was also honored that evening as the top athlete in the academy.
Orlando police Chief John Mina posed for a picture with the newest officers, saying: "We are honored to welcome you to our family!"
