SUMTER COUNTY Fla. – The Sumter County Sheriff's Office is investigating after the remains of a man were found in the "advanced stages of decomposition" Friday afternoon in Coleman.
Deputies said they were notified of possible human remains in a ditch on County Road 514.

The Sheriff's Office has identified the man, who is white and in his early to mid-20s, but are withholding this name until his next of kin has been notified.
Deputies said while the cause of death has not been determined, they believe the circumstances to be suspicious.
