Masked men wearing 'tactical-like clothing' sought in Kissimmee homicide

Darvis Houston found fatally wounded, Osceola County Sheriff's Office says

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Osceola County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident in Kissimmee that left one man dead early Saturday, deputies said.

Deputies said they went to the 2700 block of Michigan Avenue around 2 a.m. after receiving a call about a shooting.

Deputies found a man dead at the scene, the Sheriff's Office said. The victim was identified by the Sheriff's Office as Darvis Houston, 31, of Kissimmee.

Deputies said the investigation revealed that two masked males dressed in tactical-like clothing robbed Houston. A struggle ensued and Houston was killed, deputies said.

Deputies said calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.
