Sanford Police Department need help naming new K-9

Department have 5 names narrowed down

SANFORD, Fla. – Sanford Police Department introduced a new member to their family on Wednesday. Now, all they need is a name for him.

This 18-month-old German shepard was imported to Sanford from Holland. Sanford police say he loves riding with the car window down and chasing a well-thrown ball.

The dog will be partnered with K-9 Handler Giglietta. He began his basic K-9 school earlier this week, so Sanford Police Department are looking to name him by the end of the day on Thursday.

The department has narrowed the names down to five: Bane, Bokey, Valor, Gaust, and Axel.
