Teens arrested in connection with Lake Mary car burglaries

Deputies seek 2 more juveniles

LAKE MARY, Fla. – Two teenage boys are accused of breaking into cars in Lake Mary early Wednesday morning, according to the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.

The victim called 911 shortly after midnight when her friend told her that he saw someone breaking into her car. The friend said he looked out his bedroom window and saw the teen sitting in the driver's seat of the victim's car. He ran after the teen in an attempt to stop the crime, deputies said.

The boy ran out of the vehicle and toward three other teens who were waiting down the street on bicycles, deputies said. All four teens fled down Brightview Drive.

Deputies set up a perimeter and found two teens, ages 14 and 15, hiding in the bushes. The two other teens were not located.

The 14-year-old boy had a stolen tablet in his possession, according to the arrest report. He is charged with burglary of a conveyance and loitering or prowling.

The 15-year-old boy is charged with burglary of a conveyance.
