Charges dropped against former Kissimmee officer accused of sexual battery

Investigators: Threatening texts not found on victim's phone

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Charges have been dropped against a former Kissimmee police officer accused of sexually battering a woman he arrested.

The Orlando Sentinel reports two counts of sexual battery and one charge of bribery against James Rabb were dropped by the state attorney's office in Osceola County.

 

According to the paper, the victim told investigators that Rabb had sent her threatening text messages, but authorities were unable to find them after searching her phone.

 

Rabb, who resigned following his arrest in May, had been with the force since 2007.
