Man's body found lying along shore of Lake Florence, deputies say

Teens stumble upon man's body Sunday morning

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County deputies are investigating the death of a man whose body was found along the shore of Lake Florence Sunday afternoon, deputies said. His body was found by a group of teenagers.

Deputies responded to Good Homes Road and Willowwood Street after receiving a call about a man found unresponsive and not breathing, deputies said.

The teens told authorities that they were walking along the shore of the lake when they saw the man's body Sunday morning. At first they thought he was sleeping. A few hours later, they came back and saw blood on the man's clothes around his torso. That's when they realized he was dead and decided to call 911.

"I was a little nervous. To be honest, I didn't really know what to do much about the situation -- whether to be too involved with it, but I decided calling the cops might be the best thing to do," Neo O'Berry said.

Deputies said Orange County Fire Rescue crews arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead.

Deputies said they believe they know how the man was killed, but they're not yet releasing that information. They're now working to identify him and will then check to see if he was a missing person.

Officials are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
