MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A 12-year-old girl who was reported missing this week has been found safe in Atlanta, the Marion County Sheriff's Office said.

Destiny Decker left her home in Ocala some time after 11:30 p.m. Monday. Deputies said her boyfriend, Caleb Bacallao, 15, was also listed as a missing runaway with the Orlando Police Department.

Officials believed the two were traveling in Bacallao's mother's vehicle. Decker made comments to friends that she was running away to Canada, deputies said.

A Florida missing child alert was issued Tuesday for Decker and Bacallao by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Deputies announced Friday that Decker was found in Atlanta, Georgia, adding that she was safe and her family was notified.

The Sheriff's Office added that Bacallao had also been located.
