Student sold pot brownies at Orlando middle school, deputies say

Brownies sold for $5 each

ORLANDO, Fla. – An eighth grade student was caught selling pot brownies Tuesday at Conway Middle School in Orlando, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

Nine students reported buying marijuana-laced brownies from the girl and one bought a marijuana-laced cookie. The brownies were sold for $5 each and the cookie was sold for $2, deputies said.

The transactions took place in the school courtyard and in the locker room, authorities said.

None of the students reported feeling ill from the drugs, according to the report. The school notified their parents of the incident.

Administrators found several pot brownies and $60 in cash when they searched the 14-year-old girl's backpack, deputies said.

The teen was arrested on charges of sale/delivery of cannabis within 1,000 feet of school grounds and possession of cannabis less than 20 grams. She was taken to a juvenile assessment center.
