Crane topples at 7-story condo project in Daytona Beach Shores

No one injured in incident

DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, Fla. – A large crane crashed Monday at a Central Florida construction site, but officials say no one was injured.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reported that the crane tipped over at the future site of a seven-story, oceanfront condominium building.

Angelo Rotunda, the general contractor for the foundation work, said harm to the site was minimal. He said it will take two cranes to lift the toppled crane upright.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
