Man pronounced dead after being pulled from Orlando pond, police say

Man pulled from pond at Demetree Park


ORLANDO, Fla. – Authorities are investigating the death of a man who was pulled from a pond in Orlando Saturday afternoon.

Police received a call at 3:53 p.m. about a man in the pond at Demetree Park at 602 Santiago Ave.

Police said the caller had already pulled the man out of the water by the time first responders arrived.

The Orlando Fire Department responded. Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Orlando police said there was no indication that the incident was suspicious and did not immediately provide details about the victim. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
