ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle Saturday in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The incident happened around 8:20 p.m. on Forest City Road near All American Boulevard.
Troopers said the vehicle was heading south on Forest City Road.
A man, identified as James Armstrong, 59, of Orlando, was attempting to cross Forest City Road, when he crossed into the direct path of the vehicle, troopers said. The front of the vehicle struck Armstrong.
Orange County Fire Rescue personnel said Armstrong was taken as a trauma alert to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Troopers said he later died at the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
