ORLANDO, Fla. – Congratulations to Gema. The Orlando International Airport K-9 is hanging up her hat.

Gema has helped her handler Eddie protect passengers at Orlando International Airport for the last 5 years.

On Thursday, the airport made sure they sent off one of their most "loyal and dedicated" employees in style.

The K-9 posed with her handler Eddie in front of her "Happy Retirement" sign, got a special retirement bone and even rocked a pretty retirement crown.

Gema certainly couldn't celebrate her retirement alone, so her best friends came along to help send her off.

Fellow Orlando Airport K-9s Grand, Fina and Liza wagged their tails in celebration of their good friend Gema.

The airport documented the retirement party on their Twitter page using the hashtag #HappyRetirementGema

Thank you for service Gema and best of luck in your retirement.
