A Massachusetts girl credits the movie "The Hunger Games" as the place she learned how to tie a tourniquet, which ended up being useful to help her friend.
According to The Associated Press, 12-year-old Megan Gething used a tourniquet to help slow bleeding from her friend's leg after she slipped and fell while the two were playing in a marsh June 3. Gething tied a pair of shorts around the calf, saying all that was going through her mind was to help her friend, Mackenzie George.
