ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A passenger on a motorcycle was killed in a Sunday crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The FHP said the driver, Jay Tackett, 59, was driving south on State Road 417 near mile marker 22 when he switched lanes and lost control. Troopers said he began to swerve, then the motorcycle overturned and threw Jay Tackett and his passenger, Dorrie Tackett, 59, from the motorcycle.

FHP said Dorrie Tackett died from her injuries in the crash, while Jay Tackett suffered serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
