Suspicious package found at post office on Orange Avenue

Bag contained personal belongings, deputies say

ORLANDO, Fla. – A suspicious package was found at a post office in Orlando Monday afternoon, Orange County Fire Rescue officials said.

Orange County deputies said they received multiple calls about a bag that was left outside the Pine Castle Post Office at the 7700 block of South Orange Avenue beginning at 11:52 a.m. Deputies said no one was seen near the bag for more than 30 minutes before the Sheriff's Office was called.

The Orange County Fire Rescue Special Operations team was investigating, officials said.

Deputies determined that the bag contained personal belongings and the scene was cleared before 2:45 p.m., according to the Sheriff's Office.
