Man assaults girlfriend on drive home after learning of pregnancy, police say

Man grabbed pregnant girlfriend by neck, hair, report says

ORLANDO, Fla. – On the way home after learning they were pregnant, a man grabbed his girlfriend on Saturday by the neck, leaving bruising, according to police.

The victim told police that she and her boyfriend,  Antoney McCullough, were driving home from Winnie Palmer Hospital, where they had just learned she was three weeks pregnant, when they began to argue about going to her cousin's house. She said she wanted to get out of the car, but McCullough would not let her, the victim told police.

When they were stopped at a traffic light on South Kirkman Road at Valencia College Drive, the victim said she attempted to get out of the car. McCullough grabbed her by her hair and neck and said she "was not going anywhere" as he pulled her back into the car, according to the arrest report.

The victim told police that she felt like she couldn't breathe. Police said they saw several marks on her neck.

When they arrived at her cousin's house, the victim called 911.

McCullough was arrested and charged with aggravated battery on a pregnant person.
