'Scumbag of the Week' caught stealing child's bike in Deltona, deputies say

Bike stolen on June 1 from home in Haulover Boulevard

DELTONA, Fla. – The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who was seen on camera stealing a child's bike in Deltona on June 1.

The bike was stolen from a home on Haulover Boulevard, where the man, Charles Jones, was described as a white male with tattoos on his forearms, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office Facebook page said.

Deputies said they believe Jones and his girlfriend, Jennifer Hamilton-Hurlstone, had been staying at hotels and with friends in Orange City and DeLand.

Hamilton-Hurlstone was arrested and booked into jail, according to a post updated Saturday on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page. Deputies were still looking for Jones.

The Sheriff's Office said anyone with more information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 88-277-TIPS or call the dispatch center at 386-248-1777.

"Give us a call if you see Jones or know where we can meet him," the post said.
