PALM COAST, Fla. – A 14-year-old stabbed his father in the back to halt an attack on the boy's mother, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office said.
The incident was reported June 11, and deputies arrested the father on Thursday, officials said.

After the stabbing, the man's wife drove him to Florida Hospital Flagler, where the man said he was injured during a fall, deputies said.
An investigation revealed that the man had been stabbed by his son in an effort to save the boy’s mother, deputies said.
Charges were submitted to the State Attorney’s Office and a warrant was issued for the man, deputies said.
According to authorities, deputies served an arrest warrant Thursday at a home on Botany Lane for charges of battery domestic violence stemming from the stabbing incident.
The man was arrested without incident, deputies said.
