Missing Cocoa mom, 3-year-old son found safe, police say
Police: Pair last seen before visiting woman's estranged girlfriend
LAKELAND, Fla. – Cocoa police said a 24-year-old woman and her 3-year-old son who were reported missing were found safe Sunday morning.
Officers said Kasara Kilgore and her son, Kyreece Kilgore, had been staying with family and friends for different periods of time before the two went missing Saturday night.
The woman and her son were last seen at a friend's home on Mitchell Street Saturday around 9 p.m., according to police. No one had seen or heard from them since Kilgore went to visit her estranged girlfriend, police said.
Detectives said Kilgore and her son might have been in the company of Javrielle Cherry, 26, who is pictured above. Cherry normally drives a tan Buick, but was driving a blue Kia Optima Friday, according to police.
Police said Kilgore and her son were both considered endangered.
They were found safe just before 11 a.m. Sunday, police said. Police did not say where they were found.
