Cocoa police and fire crews arrived at the home within moments. Paramedics worked to revive the man but minutes later pronounced him dead at the scene, Cocoa police report.

Detectives were investigating the case.

The Cocoa drowning came a day after a 2-year-old was found in a small pond.

Melbourne Police were called about 4:30 p.m. Sunday to the Caribbean Villas apartment complex, 2639 Grenada Bay, where the child was located, police reports stated.

An officer jumped in the water and pulled him out. The child was not identified by police. An investigation is ongoing in that case as well.
