Cops: Florida man sought after throwing hot water on sleeping wife

Man drives wife around after she pleads for hospital treatment

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A Florida man is on the run after authorities said he burned and then kidnapped his wife.

Pembroke Pines police said Everton Harrison poured hot water on his wife while she was in bed around 1 p.m. Sunday. After the incident, police said the victim pleaded with Harrison take her to the hospital.

Harrison obliged, but during the drive along U.S. Highway 27, he went back on his word. Instead, authorities said Harrison stopped the car on the highway, picked up glass bottles and began to cut his arm.

Harrison eventually took the victim back to their home. The woman called police from a neighbor's home, and was taken to the hospital for her injuries. Harrison has not been seen since the attack.
