DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – One man was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday morning in Daytona Beach, police said.

Officers said Keith Bruce and Douglas Leger were riding their motorcycles south on Clyde Morris Boulevard at 2 a.m. and were approaching Georgetown Boulevard when Bruce slowed down to turn right. Leger then ran into the back of Bruce's motorcycle before he fell to the pavement, police said.

Because Leger was not wearing a helmet, he suffered severe injuries to his head and was pronounced dead at the scene, officers said.

Officers did not say whether Bruce was injured in the crash.

Police said the crash remains under investigation.
