Deputies said the interaction between the two drivers began at about 2 p.m. and ended when a man in a silver convertible BMW fired a single shot into the victim's vehicle.

The suspect is at large and left the scene before authorities arrived, Jones said.

The victim was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center and is in stable condition.

The family of the victim has asked that News 6 not publish his name because the shooter is at large.
