17 cars burglarized at Orlando Airport Marriott Lakeside, police say

No arrests made

ORLANDO, Fla. – Police say 17 cars that were parked at Orlando Airport Marriott Lakeside had their windows smashed early one morning.

A security member at the hotel said an unknown person or people gained entry to the vehicles between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. on July 21 by breaking the right rear windows, then climbing through them, according to an incident report.

All 17 vehicles had their doors locked. Contents from unlocked glove boxes were scattered on the seats.

The vehicles that were burglarized were using the parking lot temporarily and did not belong to guests of the hotel. It's not known if anything was stolen from the vehicles because the victims were not present.

Surveillance cameras in the area did not capture the break-ins.

The estimated damage was $1,200.

No arrests have been made in the case.
